A boy after my own heart

Sports and Cards.  Clearly he is my son :)

Ben got this glove from Grandpa Scott last weekend, and he has barely taken it off since that day. He has seen gloves on baseball players on TV, and when Patrick and Dad and I have played catch, and he clearly knows it is an important part of baseball.  So precious.  Doesn't he look like a budding athlete?  :)

And playing cards.  He loves throwing them around, picking them up, looking at them in his hand.  Despite his father's influence, I still think Ben will have a love for cards!!

Summer memories

Well, tomorrow we are heading up to a resort on Lake Miltona for a whole week with the Marso family.  We are so excited.  Ben doesn't quite get it, but he sure understands when i say we get to see Griffin and Elli, and be in the water!  He smiles and nods.... too cute.

Here are some other memories from the summer:

We had so much fun over the 4th of July with our family.  First, we went to Grandma Oma's lake, and got to see Owen, Eden, Jon, and Jenny, and GREAT GRANDMA BERNIE!  Then we had a surprise visit from Linda and Kandi, too!  So much fun :)

Ben LOVES swimming!

Owen and Ben were laughing all weekend long at each other.  Here, Owen is feeding Ben raspberries, and they think it is SO funny.

Then we went down to Grandpa Scott's house, and we did some fun things! We watched Cars, built a fort, played in the pool, went to a Reptile Museum, and went to Cabelas!  We had a blast.

The last weekend, just Mommy and Ben went down to Iowa to see Jon, Jenny, Owen and Eden.  We played outside a lot, and did our very first finger painting!!  See below.  We have Ben's showcased in his bedroom.

Earlier in the summer, we had a fun time at Grandma and Granpa Marso's, with Griffin and Elli, and Uncle Steve, Aunt Jennifer, Aunt Michelle, and Uncle John.  We played with bubbles and run around the backyard.  Ben LOVES his cousins!

Although I didn't get a picture with Peri, this is my other best bud, Chloe.  We had fun looking at each other and giving hugs!
