Happy Grandpa Day, Grandpa Scott!

From the beginning, Grandpa, you have been there for me!  I light up and get so excited whenever I see you. You play games with me, love me, and dance with me all the time.  I am so happy to have you for a Grandpa!
I love you!

Happy Father's Day!

We had such a great Father's Day - Ben got to spend his day with his Daddy and BOTH his grandpas at Canterbury Park!  Although it was raining, Ben had an amazing time watching the horses and cheering --- "yay" being his newest phrase :)

Swimming and Family Fun!

So, Ben graduated from swimming lessons!  He learned how to be under  water comfortably, and do a 'baby back float'.  He also learned to love a lot of songs that were specific to swimming lessons, including the Humpty Dumpty song featured below at Grandma Oma's lake.  He even paddles back to the dock!  It is so adorable.

In addition to paddling and getting in the water, Ben is very comfortable going under the water.  When we were at the lake, there was one moment when he was in waist deep water, wading around and he fell forward with his face straight into the water.  Patrick didn't freak out, just casually leaned over to grab him and bring him up out of the water.... at least 3 or 4 true seconds.  And when Ben got pulled up, he just blinked his eyes a few times, and he was happy.  It is amazing to see his love for the water, and not see any fear from him.  I think swimming lessons have been one of the greatest things for him!

We also had a wonderful time when Jenny, Owen and Eden, and Grandpa!, came  to stay with us overnight.  We played outside, we went for a walk, and we went to the Children's Museum (where you can see Grandpa dancing in the post below).  Ben loves loves loves Eden, and always has, but he and Owen have always played separately, just doing their own things.  This time, however, they really noticed each other, mimicked each other, and played together!  It was so fun to see.  They are both such special dear hearts, and we are so lucky to have such a great family!  Here are some captured moments from that weekend:

Owen grabbed our hands all the time, just wanting to go see the dogs.  But he didn't want to get too close .... just a good look!  It was so precious.

When the kids got on the elevator, they sat down most of the time.  I love them all together!
This is Edens FIRST TIME climbing stairs, and I caught a picture of how happy she is, and proud of herself for such a great accomplishment!  :)
