7 lbs, 9 oz...

Well, I am 2 days away from being full term, and it is such an exciting feeling. Patrick and I have been working so hard on making sure the house is ready for our little one to live in. We bought a Dyson vaccuum, which we LOVE, and has really helped rid our house of Greta and Vinny hair. We have all his clothes washed and his nursery put together. The base to the car seat is in the car! Now we just wait....

The title of this entry refers to my last ultrasound from Monday, the 17th. We were so excited to see his BIG body, and we even got a scrunched up picture of his face. Apparently, this late in the game, ultrasounds aren't as easy to make out profiles or full body pictures. But he is head down, like his is supposed to be, so we are so thankful. The surprising part was when the technician said that he is already weighing at 7 lb, 9 oz. Geez, he could be a big baby! Now we know they can easily be off, but it was more of a reality check - we are going to have a baby soon!

Here i am at 36 weeks, 5 days. He is moving like crazy!

We had such a fun time decorating the nursery. As you can see, we chose light blue walls and navy shades, lamp, etc. The rest is more primary colors, with greens and reds and yellow. We have trains that are above the shades and over the crib. We love the chair that my mom and Grandma got us for our shower, and we are just so happy with everything in the nursery. I sit in there every night, and feel such a sense of calm. I just know it is going to be a gentle and soft room for our little guy to sleep in. I have a feeling I will spend a lot of time in that room just looking at him!

Owen and I love to hang out. It was pretty funny when I would hold Owen and his little stinker cousin would start kicking him, though! They will be 10 months apart, and the bestest of cousins, or troublemakers! :)

In walking around the St. Paul skyways, I had terribly achy feet that day, and we thought it would be fun to use the wheelchair... and it was. He only let me run into the wall a couple of times....

Patrick was already practicing being a Daddy. he and Owen get along so well - it is so sweet. I think they were practicing a scene from Peter Pan in this picture.

We had a wonderful Christmas in Owatonna this year with Grandpa Schreiner, the whole Cloud family from Memphis, the Schreiners from South Dakota, and the Schreiners from Iowa! We played a lot of games and had great food. Dad even won the cook-off, although we are sure he cheated somehow. Lily listened to my dad singing (pictured below), and did some dancing later. It was so fun to have the family all together at Christmas.

This was part of how we spent our Christmas - Dad singing KT Tunstall's Black Horse and a Cherry Tree (which he picked out himself) :) The baby loved it! He is going be such a fun Grandpa!
Thank you all for enjoying this blog... or at least pretending to! :) We are so excited to have a place to document our lovebug as he grows up. And thank you for all your well wishes and happy thoughts! Hopefully you'll be getting a call soon about the arrival of Baby Marso!
